Charting Your Success with Altos Research Freebies
I just got done attending a fabulous webinar put on by Scott Sambucci with Altos Research. If you are not familiar with Altos Research, they create easy-to-follow charts for real estate statistics all across the country. While they are a pay service, they do offer some fabulous free apps to use on your Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and blog platforms for a more eye-catching way to display your local real estate market stats. By using their AltosXplorer tool, you can create your own up-to-date local market statistics chart easily and free:
Altos Research also offers a free Facebook app to add to your Facebook page to show your fans, friends and potential clients what the real estate market in your area looks like. These charts are also great to open discussions on LinkedIn or to even let your Twitter followers know what’s going on in your neck of the woods right now. Check it out for yourself. Hi Heather – Great post. I might suggest using the “left-right” axis for the chart – putting inventory on the right axis instead of on the left axis with price. By separating the units on different axes, it shows the trends a little more clearly. Here’s what I mean:

We also suggest to our users to place no more than 1 stat per axis, so the case of showing days-on-market as compared to price, you’d want to have a second AltosChart:
